Lexington Herald-Leader's January Garden
Susan Smith-Durisek recently wrote a article in the Herald-Leader titled "Whether for peace or healing, gardens provide respite"
She selected 12 distinct local gardens for people to explore during this coming year. Michler's is honored to be chosen as January's destination:
January
There is an indoor world under glass at Michler's Gardens and Greenhouses (Michlers.com), 417 East Maxwell Street. You'll find orchids in bloom, a living green wall, and bonsai trees that thrive year-round. A visit is perfect for a quick, inspirational pick-me-up.
Usually January is a quite time at Michler's, so it has been exciting to have people stop by to check out what is in bloom. As luck has it, we have phenomenal orchids that are blooming now, so come by to explore.

Weekly Specials (Dec 11-17)
*Weekly special have been replaced with our selection of monthly and seasonal specials found under "shop" in the menu.
We have decided to launch a new weekly specials collection. For the first week we had to choose a few special arrangements, so we selected our most popular red rose arrangements of the season. Each arrangement uses elegant white flowers to balance the scarlet red.

Thanksgiving
Greetings All,
Thanksgiving is upon us, and, as always, Debbie and Rachel are designing fabulous centerpieces that capture the autumn's vibrant colors before they fade into winter.
As our designer's hands are busy making floral arrangements, and our garden crew hustles to make final preparations for the winter, we want to take the opportunity to step back and say thanks.
Naturally without our customers and supporters we would not have been Lexington's perennial favorite florist and greenhouse operation for 110 years. So, thank you for your loyalty and your suggestions that help us become a little bit better each year.
We would also like to extend a thank you to all of our staff, who have become family to us. An intelligent and caring staff is why our plants are healthy and our flowers fresh.
Cheers to a fragrant and lively Thanksgiving!
Yours,
The Michlers
