Stachys byzantina 'Helene von Stein' (Lamb's Ears)

Excellent groundcover perennial.  Plants form a spreading mat of soft, silvery-green foliage that occasionally produces pale purple flower stalks (not showy).  Foliage grows to a height of 6"-12" with a spread of 1'-2' and prefers full sun exposure.  Tolerates a variety of soil conditions, but moist soil increases the likelihood of leaf rot, especially during hot, humid summers.
