Silphium laciniatum (Compass plant)

Tall perennial native to the prairies that features bright yellow, daisy-like flowers from midsummer through early fall.  Plants grow to a height of 5'-9' with a spread of 1.5'-3' and prefers full sun exposure in well-drained soil.  Pollinator friendly.
