Sempervivum calcareum 'Classic' (Hens and Chicks)

Evergreen mat-forming succulent that prefers full sun exposure in well-drained soil.  Rosettes grow up to 6" high with a spread of up to 1'.  "Mother" rosettes send out offsets or "chicks" that will fill in bare spots once parent rosettes die.  Does well in rock gardens and shallow, gravelly soil.  Extremely drought tolerant.
