Ficus carica 'Negronne' (Negronne Fig)

The Negronne Fig is a popular cultivar of the common fig tree. It produces sweet and flavorful, dark purple-skinned fruit with red pulp that ripens in late summer to early fall. It thrives in full-sun and and prefers to dry out between watering once established, as it is naturally suited for Mediterranean climates. 

'Negronne' does best in a container with well-draining soil. You can expect growth of 8-10 feet tall and 6-10 feet wide. It may need to be moved indoors during the winter months, particularly in areas outside of its hardiness zone (zones 7-10).
