Eryngium planum (Flat Sea Holly)

Unique clump-forming perennial that features a summer bloom of  bright blue flower heads on branched stems rising from a rosette of dark green basal leaves. Blooms profusely mid to late summer.  Grows best in dry, well drained and even poor soils.  Reaches 2-3 feet tall and 1-2 feet wide. Excellent pollinator plant. Beautiful cut flower.
