Echinops ritro (Globe Thistle)

A clumping perennial with round, steel blue flower heads that appear in late summer. These flowers rise above deep green, thistle-like foliage on rigid stems. Grows 3 to 4 feet tall and 2 to 3 feet wide. Prefers full sun and dry to medium, well drained soil. Drought tolerant; pollinator friendly.
