Lavandin (L. angustifolia x L. latifolia) is a popular, shrubby hybrid lavender for the herb garden. Similar in use, appearance, growth, and maintenance requirements to Lavandula angustifolia. Lavandins are quite striking in terms of size, fragrance, and color. Although rarely used for culinary purposes, they are frequently used as cut flowers and in sachets and potpourris. 'Provence' is one of the tallest lavandins and tends to develop a looser form over time than other lavenders. 2-3'H x 2-3'W.
