Last week we hosted a fun group terrarium workshop. Some members made their own while others teamed up to create their terrariums. We learned how to create a properly planted and water filtering terrarium full of little woodland plants. We focused of making little landscapes, little worlds incased in glass in order to produce a successful and delightful terrarium. Everyone took home their woodland terrariums along with the knowledge to create and take care of them.

The popularity of terrariums began in the Victorian Era and have continued because of the delight it brings with the personalized little world within it. Small ferns, pileas, and begonias can be nestled among mosses and other foliage plants creating a miniaturized woodland landscape. Terrariums add a bit of green life to your home and can offer a sense of wonder to observe and care for it.
