Mentha requienii (Corsican mint)

A miniature mat-forming mint similar in use, appearance, growth, and maintenance requirements to peppermint (Mentha x piperita), but petite and bearing lilac-colored flowers. Appreciates some afternoon shade in hot summer climates. Tolerates shady garden areas. Adapts to a wide range of soils but does not appreciate drought or heavy foot traffic. 0-.25'H x .5-1'W. USDA Zones 6-9.
