$5.95

A herbaceous perennial with gray-green leaves, historically used for medicinal purposes. Horehound is used to make hard lozenge candies that are considered by folk medicine to aid digestion, soothe sore throats, and relieve inflammation; it is also used in beverages, such as horehound beer or the rock and rye cocktail, and is steeped as a tea. Mid-summer flowers are white, borne in clusters on the upper part of the main stem. Fragrant, drought-tolerant, and easy to grow. Horehound likes sun and well-drained soil. 1.5-2'H x 1.5-2'W. USDA Zones 3-10.
