Catnip - Nepeta cataria

An aromatic garden and container plant, appealing to butterflies and cats. Catnip grows in spreading clumps. The triangular to ovate leaves appear gray-green. Purple-white flowers bloom in spiky terminal clusters at the stem ends from late spring to well into summer. Historically used for medicinal purposes and as a culinary herb. Drought-tolerant, deer-resistant, and repellent to certain insects, including aphids and squash bugs. Catnip does well in full sun to partial shade. 2-3'H x 2-3'W. USDA Zones 3-7.
