Corn Sweet (yellow) Golden Bantam 8 Row

$3.99

This variety set the standard for sweet corn when it was introduced in 1902 and remained one of the best and most popular varieties until the introduction of super-sweet hybrid corn varieties. Yet even today, this open-pollinated sweet corn is desired for its delicious, but not overly sweet, corn flavor. A good, main-season sweet corn variety, each plant produces two or more ears per stalk. Ears have eight rows of broad, golden yellow kernels. Plant a second crop about 3 weeks after your first to extend your harvest. 'Golden Bantam 8 Row' is best enjoyed right after picking. A great variety for freezing on the cob.
